From my experience working as a Tech Recruiter I know that many developers struggle with their CVs (they often use generic formats like LinkediIn and Europass), that’s why I decided to create a downloadable CV template!
Having a resume that is not just like any other is very important as it could become a gateway to a new job. You might be the best software developer in your field, but if you are searching for a new job, you may not even get through the door for an interview without a great resume. A great resume will help you stand out from other candidates, provide the right information in an easily scannable format and make a statement about your professionalism and competency.
Given that, there are 4 tips that I would like to share with you together with the template:
Showcase your technology stack: List your tech stack under every employment or a previous project that you have worked on.
Use Action verbs to demonstrate your experience: Examples include verbs like: “applied”, “improved”, “implemented”...
Tailor your CV to the position you are applying for: For example, backend engineers should show backend experience and cut out the occasional frontend work.
Include your interests: This will give you something to talk about during the interview and it is your chance to show a bit of personality.
Your resume offers the first glimpses of what you're capable of, so spend extra time and effort getting them right. Organize information and present your skills effectively. And use a professional resume template to polish the most important tool for your job search.
